No, stainless steel comes in different types and the properties of each type depend on the amount of chromium and nickel mixed in the steel.

To make it suitable for different uses, for example, stainless steel with low hardness can be formed into shapes, while stainless steel with high hardness can be used to make knives. All types of stainless steel are resistant to corrosion, but some are particularly good at resisting corrosion.

Stainless steel can rust in conditions where there is lack of cleaning or problems during production and welding.

Ordinary foods do not react with stainless steel, unless the food has a salty taste, such as fish sauce or strongly concentrated lime juice. This can reduce the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.

The concentration of Tartaric, Acetic, Tannic, Lactic and Citric acids in fruit juice or wine will not cause grade 304 or 316 stainless steel to corrode. However, grade 304 stainless steel can only resist corrosion if it is completely submerged in a solution with less than 700 ppm of So2, which is in a gaseous state in the liquid.

Use grade 308 or 309 welding wire.
